From the "Cuba Series" started in the early 1970s.
About this work: This painting was done as an art school assignment in 1979 at the University of Washington School of Art. The assignment was to create a painting in the style of a contemporary master. This work uses the technique developed by Jackson Pollock, but incorporates a poem by Cuban poet Jose Marti.
